Flew out of YUL last week on the 10:55 to EWR No checked bags, OLCI the day before, Arrived at 10:05, right into the nexus line, through security, GE and got held up for 20 questions and a passport check at CBP. Still made it to the gate with 20 min to spare. Plane was 30 minutes late arriving, due to late arrival at ewr and a late departure for Montreal. Pretty painless process.
