So this is a new one on me. Checked in as a Platinum at Renaissance Time Square on award stay this weekend, and they wanted to charge me a $25 "Destination Fee" per day. This is not a "Resort Fee". What this buys you is a hop on/off bus pass, 10% discount at NFL Experience, and they will give you a $25 credit toward food and beverage bought at hotel. I basically told them the last thing a business traveler wants is to get on a hop on off bus. They eventually removed the fee. I have yet to see this at any other Marriott property. Am I missing something?
