my two cents worth

Have completed two stays there including opening day. And i have also tried all of the other SPG, Hyatt and Hilton options.

The hotel impresses notwithstanding how new it is, and that it is still ramping up.

hardware - apart from a few nitty gritty issues observable in every new build (and the small tub, but i never use one), it is excellent

f&b - really shines here compared to other SPG options except the SGS, the all-day dining restaurant Praya Kitchen serves delicious and affordable buffet/ala carte. Rooftop bar is beautiful and likely to become one of the top places in BKK. Yet to try the chinese restaurant

service - staff are generally very willing to assist and tries very hard. Management staff are omnipresent. Still not polished, but surely theyll get there

location - is the only thing that docks a few points off this hotel for me. It is in the middle of a quiet neighbourhood, one way road towards the expressway and river, would definitely break a sweat walking towards Le meridien surawong and the two closest BTS station - sala daeng/ chong nongsi

rates - still high although i see it averages 4000 baht now, for that price it competes with many excellent hotels eg plaza athenee and sgs if booked in advance. Im not sure it is value for money in this case but would be very tempted to book a short one/two nighter just to hang out within the hotel.
