The Hilton Coylumbridge is the oddest Hilton property I've stayed at by a longshot... and perhaps the only Hilton I've ever stayed at that had neither an elevator nor air conditioning in the rooms, but fantastically warm and hospitable staff.

Even when we stayed for a night before our wedding at Eilean Donan last September it seemed it had a slightly tenuous grasp on the Hilton brand and brand standards so it wouldn't surprise me if it were to get downgraded to a DT or Curio, would be disappointed if it left the family entirely, as there's not much Hilton representation as you get further north in Scotland*.

That said Coylumbridge is collocated with a HGVC which makes me suspect unwinding it from the Hilton family wouldn't be as easy or desirable as a free-standing, unencumbered, property

*- It was the closest Hilton property even though it was a 2.5 hour drive; though the Eilean Donan Apartments, where we spent the night before/after the wedding was fantastic in every respect and one of very few non-Honors properties this soul-sold-to-Hilton traveler would love to return to in a heartbeat]
