We stayed at the Marriott County Hall last week and had a wonderful view of the Thames river with Parliament across from us. Big Ben will be covered in scaffolding for a couple more years which was also in view. We typically stay at other places in London but it was our friends first visit and they loved the central location. It was very convenient to all of the tourist sites, just across the bridge. We walked to the Churchill War Room, the Horses Guard, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, etc. The fit and finish of our room was excellent, their contractor had great attention to detail and the staff were friendly. Soundproofing was perfect, no noise what-so-ever. Breakfast in the M Club wasn't great or horrible, it provided enough variety for everyone to fuel the start of our site seeing. On our next visit in December, we are going to stay at the Marriott Park Lane as other flyer talkers have said it's more in the style of staying at the Ritz Carlton. My wife and I enjoy boutique hotels more so than larger tourist oriented hotels.

Have a wonderful trip. If you have time, make reservations at Bar Nightjar if your into that kind of thing. We had a terrific time!
