Just for reference if anyone googles to this thread in the future. Home printed boarding passes and mobile boarding passes ARE perfectly fine in Haneda.

Last I flew from Haneda International I had a home printed boarding pass just to test, the passenger in front of me by coincidence had a mobile boarding pass. Not a single comment from staff at security, other than scanning them and letting us through.
