Having redeemed over 100 segments on Cathay, probably 65% with AA, it routinely takes a few weeks when date of travel is so far out. But I'd monitor closely. ALSO, set up an ExpertFlyer alert (assuming this is an F award) to notify you if selling inventory increases...which could be a bad sign.
