The Global Explorer fares are a miles based fare, unlike the One World Explorer which is a continent based fare. With Business Class there's only the 34,000 mile option available as a possible fare for the GE (in economy there are 26 and 29,000 options as well). The costs are higher than for a 22,000 mile Circle Pacific fare though (in Australia the price for the GE in J is AU$9,169 for instance). The other down side is you have to go around the world on it as well, so you'd have to go via Europe in one direction.

In general they're not as good a value for money or as popular as the One World Explorer fares due to the miles limitation, but if you need to reach destinations only covered by the additional airlines available in the Global Explorer (especially useful in the Middle East and South Pacific) then it's worth looking at.

So for instance it would be possible for you to do LAX-LHR-BKK-SIN-SYD-BNE-AKL-PPT-LAX and you'd still have about 9,000 miles left over to play with for any other destinations you might desire.
