Yeah the upgrade system is kindof broken.

I'm mvp-gold, did a same-day-change to a different flight, and after my same-day-change got confirmed, i was no longer showing on the upgrade list. Had to manually ask the gate-agent to add me back once i got to the gate, but by that time it was too late and the processer had already-run/seats all assigned, and I got to sit in some back row middle seat instead of what should be an almost assured upgrade to a premium seat at the very least as mvpgold.
