Had a similar situation but for a much shorter route, which resulted in:
- 600 Euros for the delay (EU261) - Check received by mail
- USD 200 as a downgrade compensation (Voucher)
These two were generated almost immediately. Then 2 months later DL got back to me and told me that after re-calculating the fare with the lowest economy class fare for the downgraded segment, I was owed around USD 400, which was refunded to the original form of payment.
