What is your Priority Club status?
Spire

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
It was OK.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
I booked the basic King room I think, and got that. Did not ask about upgrades.

How are the rooms?
The bedroom area is massive and well appointed.
The bathroom is the tiniest I’ve seen in a proper hotel. Anything smaller and you’d be showering above the toilet…

[If you are Spire]
How was your complimentary welcome amenity?
Did not get any. I think it's only for Inner Circle.

Did you raid the minibar? If so, what did you take?
A small vodka.

Were you offered a Chef's Taste at Dinner, If so, what did you receive?
Not mentioned. I think it's only for Inner Circle.

Did you use the free spa credit / did the hotel participate? If so, was it a good value?
Not mentioned.

What was good and what was bad?
Good:
• No major issue. Everything was clean.
• Big bedroom
• The bar / restaurant (Firefly) is great. Food, drinks, atmosphere, everything is right.
• Quick walk to the metro station
Bad:
• The reception area is tiny. If you have 5 people for wine hour it’s crowded (so we skipped).
• Their “guest amenity fee” justification is the most ridiculous I’ve seen.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
I had originally booked the Willard IC. We changed for the Kimpton because there was a Kimpton special offer (stay two nights, get a one night certificate), even though it wasn’t really cheaper. The problem is, with a similar price, I had rather high expectations. Honestly I don’t see who in their right mind would pay as much as for the intercons and, even if we do get the certificate eventually, I’m still not sure it was the right choice. There's nothing particularly wrong and if you can get it for 100-150 USD a night, why not. But otherwise, this hotel is really nothing special.
