I think you may have misinterpreted my comment. I made a paid upgrade x 4 to CW online yesterday, which as it turned out was after the cat was out of the bag on this forum. My opinion was about BA who I am sure did not just spontaneously make this decision. I have no beef with the phone agent I spoke with later; she was perfectly pleasant and as helpful as she could be in the circumstances.
The point is you need to wait a few days to see what options are agreed. BA can’t generally give its competitors advance notice that it’s about to drop a route.
