Just flew EWR-SIN on June 30th. Very surpised that the routing seemed to be identical to the old EWR-AMS-SIN. Flight path showed that we took a typical transatlantic route, short of Godthab, then flew directly over London, in the neigborhood of AMS and proceeded the usual way toward Islamabad and then making a turn to line up with Phuket on to Singapore. I was pretty shocked. Based on the maps I really thought we were going closer to the North pole. But really it was just the same old route.
On another forum, someone posted that the EWR-SIN flight on 4th or 5th July also flew across the atlantic, over Ireland, the Black Sea and then down to Singapore....makes for a pseudo RTW.
