As a "luxe" travel agent I try to be available as much as reasonably possible, and have no problem having calls or completing bookings off-hours and weekends. At the end of the day I'm selling my service to people who usually make very good money and therefore have little to no free time during the traditional working day. Then again I came from a previous career where I was on call 24 hours a day, so its more natural for me. I would say you definitely have options and if your current travel professional does not meet your service standards I would look for someone who is a better fit. It must be a common complaint because a couple of new referral clients specifically mentioned working hours as a reason for getting in contact with me.
