If I book a flight plus hire car Booking then ‘forget’ to pick up the car is there any issue that could come back and bite?

I think there isn’t from what I’ve read on here but wanted to check latest intel.

Also - could you return to the airport and collect car later in the booking or do they cancel once a no show time as elapsed.

Are there any restrictions with fare classes these book into?
