Wow. I'm not a SW fan by any means, but spending an extra three hours in transit, and adding the risk of blowing a 45 minute connection and getting stuck in SLC, just to avoid a 1.5 hour flight on SW, is a lot farther than I'd take it. To each his own, I guess.
