Bag storage / Early bag drop at JFK
Hello! I’m arriving at 13:30 on an AA flight at JFK T8 this coming Friday. I built in a long layover [not on same ticket] which has me departing T7 on the 114 at 21:30 as I was hoping that I could spend a little time with a friend at the beach [Rockaway].

Looking at BA site I think I can only get rid of my roller cabin bag 3 hours before when the bag drop for my flight would open at 18:30. I’m flying in CW for what that’s worth. Alternatively, it seems from some basic internet searches there are left luggage storage places in T4 and T1 landside.

Ideally I would like to get rid of my bag asap and maximise my time with my friend. Ultimately the bag could be carry on but if checking it earlier than the three hours is possible somehow then I would gladly do that. Any experience/suggestions welcome.
