Trip Report May 2018 - Residence Inn London Bridge
Overview
Doing a quick mattress run to get in enough points before August to qualify for life time gold (soon to be LTP). Plus, was out in central London and with my cleaner coming round early doors the next day, decided to have a nice lie in.
Location
Not far from Borough tube station, and about a 10 minute walk from London Bridge tube / train station. A gentrifying area.
Room
Small room. Bedroom is right by the door, with bathroom just off the bed room. Down a small hallway to the sitting room / kitchen. Smaller than most Residence Inns I've been in, but decent enough for a London hotel.
Bed comfortable. Shower and bathroom great. Kitchen small but functional. Half-size fridge, and the smallest dishwasher I've ever seen, but strangely cute. TV has all regular UK TV stations, plus a number of European stations. Small door and window to get some outside air.
Lobby and Breakfast
Decent lobby. No outside space. Breakfast eggs, sausage and other continental breakfast options. Looks like "manager's reception" on Wednesdays.
There is a gym in the basement. My pictures didn't turn out for that, sorry for the shakey hands. Weights, rowing machines, running machines, etc.
Overall decent central location to stay if the price is right and don't mind the stay at a place where you don't get full points.
Also - for anyone looking for the music they play for Residence Inn TV, it's Zeroleen - All Good -
