I agree totally with yyzflyer, Homewood Suites are GREAT!!!! I travel every week from Mon-Thu and I'm currently assigned to a client in downtown Chicago.

Although the client is located directly acroos the street from the Palmer House, I stay at the Homewood Suites - Downtown Chicago on Grand & Wabash.

To me, the Homewood is perfect for the business traveler. The breakfast is great, the dinner & drinks are complimentary, and the staff knows me by name. The rooms are consistent and very nice.

In the Chicago Homewood, they have a Diamond Floor (15th) that they put out water, coffee, and OJ in the morning (in addition to the buffet). You also get a complimentary membership to Crunch Fitness right next door.

Nothing against the Palmer House, it's a great hotel - but the restaurants are WAY too expensive and I always feel like just another guest (and I am Diamond).
