So it was a Hampton from day 1? Looking at the pictures and the atrium I had assumed it started life as a Embassy-lite ("Embassy non-suites") or similar and had been converted to a HI at some point along its life.
Now going as the independent "Hotel Lakewood" looking like they're maintaining the HI brand standards and décor for now based on their website.
