I've had no issue doing 8am check-in across the world, but I only ever tried it at properties where I hold top status.
And their change in attitude goes from "8am, are you kidding me?" to "here's your key" when they pull up my file.
Curious, do you note when booking that you'll be doing an early morning check in? I'm guessing there's also been instances where they haven't been able to get you a room even with status?
