Unhappy Can we really call AC005 an inaugural flight after operating for 4 years?

Sure the YUL-NRT route may be an inaugural service for AC but not the flight number, considering it was first used YYZ-HND four years ago in July 2014 and eventually the flight went to NRT instead. It does make accurate statistical records somewhat difficult to maintain though!

Good luck YUL; Your gain is YYZ's loss, in a huge big way! You even get the flagship metal from the YYZ-TYO service as well!
