The Cosmopolitan is in the "twilight zone" that Marriott calls Autograph Collection. An affiliation with Marriott that permits guests to earn and burn points. But there are scant benefits of the MR program that apply to guests here; sometimes a one class upgrade. The in-house Identity Membership and Rewards program is far more comprehensive.
