The Hotel Imperial is a fantastic place to stay in Vienna! I used points to book the base level room and with an SNA was cleared into an Elisabeth Suite 5 days out. At check-in I was introduced to my butler and presented with a small business card case full of personalized calling cards indicating I was “in residence” at the Imperial, a first in all my hotel stays. The butler showed me to the room and explained the features of my room.
My suite was a soft blue color scheme but from the photos it looks like each is quite different. I loved the beautiful chandeliers in living and bed rooms, both were dimmable. Fresh white roses were in the living room and each night brought a different delight (plate of chocolates, olives & breadsticks, etc) in addition to fruit bowl replenished daily the mini imperial tortes left on the bed. There was large walk in closet, the bathroom had separate tub and shower undoubtedly was the highest pressure shower I have ever encountered. I didn't care for the scent of Bvlgari toiletries but I'm sure others will love it. There were electronic shutters to keep the outside light & noise out and I heard no noise from any other guests in the hotel.
The hotel is in great central Vienna location. You can walk to most attractions in the city quite easily utilizing the central pedestrian only streets, however the trams and subway are close by the hotel as well. An uber to the train station was about 8 Euro.
I chose breakfast as my plat amenity and enjoyed dining in the outdoor area of Cafe Imperial during my stay. The food was of high quality with the usual selection and for those who like to enjoy a sparkling beverage at breakfast, Laurent-Perrier was available at the beverage station! I also enjoyed cocktails and snacks in the elegant lobby bar one night and enjoyed the live piano music.
Overall I loved this hotel and cant wait to return someday. The location, old-world elegance and the lovely staff all combined to make quite a memorable stay.
