Given the usual EK noises re their offering being something special, I would like to see something beyond that which is offered on other carriers re the hard product... as well as soft product. But inconsistency and changes between equip will be a factor. The retro J on the 777 is simply rotten - they could actually roll this out as PE and then be ahead of the curve for a PE hard product
In terms of a 2-3-2 layout - this is what the 777 J currently is (save for 772-LR of which they have about 10 aircraft). 2-3-2 across for PE in a 380 would be spacious though...
On the 380, the EK economy seat is by far and away the best Y seat in the sky (esp. compared to the EK 777 Y seat which is rotten). The 380 F&J product stands up amongst the competition - some are better some are worse but it's decent. It would be awesome to see EK push the envelope in respect of PE now. Almost all airlines' PE have followed the same 38" pitch and soft product offering so over to EK to show us something new.... Just don't have a launch video narrated by a smug c0ck (Clarkson).
