SHARES is an absolutely fine PSS system. And in fact, the fact that it is run in house versus outsourced provides United great flexibility to add customization and tweaks to the PSS. Many of the things United outlined in that message are indeed possible because of SHARES. And the company in its communication is probably trying to boost morale. That is never a bad thing.
