Just completed a fantastic 5 night reward stay at this hotel. I booked a basic room facing the marina and was upgraded to a gulf view facing the south/pier 60. The hotel is almost complete with renovations, and they should be finished by the end of June 2018. All in all, we will return to this hotel.

Room:
We really liked having a room on the 9th floor. The balcony was substantially bigger on the 9th floor than other floors. Some may not like that it is a cement enclosed balcony instead of a normal style balcony, but this worked great for our toddler. The rooms were very nicely renovated, had a refrigerator, and a very comfy bed! Yes, the bones of the hotel are old, but they did a fantastic job on the reno.

Location:
Fantastic Location. Being so close to Pier 60 was wonderful! And if you have young kids, Pier 60 has a big playground for kids, which was clutch for us.

Food:
Food was actually pretty good. Everyday we did the $4 upgrade to the full breakfast. They have a Mexican restaurant on property which was great and a Starbucks! The restaurant and bar on the lobby floor was also great. In addition they have a pool bar and a tiki bar on the beach. If you didn't want to eat breakfast at the hotel, there are 3 restaurants across the street who all serve reasonably priced breakfast.

Pool: It was mentioned that the pool was small, but they have built a second pool. The original pool works great for young children. The new pool has a bar, so mainly had adults in it.

Staff:
All of the staff were fantastic and extremely helpful!
