If I'm in the 65,000 EQM and $7500-8000 EQD range for my planned trips by the end of the year, I'm wondering how much money and time I should put into moving up from Platinum to Platinum Pro. I'd love to hear the opinions of some experienced members. Thanks!
FYI, common routes traveled are between: MCI-DCA, MCI-MIA, MCI-CLT, MIA-TGU, MIA-STI, DCA-MIA
Look at it another way. As PP, you would always be upgraded over PLT, whereas now you are not. But, I don't see a point of extra flying to get there, unless you really want to go somewhere and deciding to fly AA (or a OW partner) or another carrier.
I am a LT PLT, and don't really fly as much anymore, and since AS offered a status match with 4 free upgrades, I had no problem in saving over $100 each for us to use AS for our trip from DFW to SEA for our cruise. But, that is a far cry from 10K EQM you need to reach PP
