Airport parking never fails to amaze me, I booked the short stay carpark at GLA for 3 weeks, 4 months out, was £80ish which is perfectly fine.
On another trip which was very short notice, I don't book in advance and I come back 4 days later with a £100 bill.
If you had just turned up at the long term car park without booking, it would have been a lot cheaper at GBP50 - the short term car park not the cheapest place to turn up without a booking for a long term booking
I also would echo Simons1's question on what on earth airport parking fees have to do with BA
