Called about Aviator Red on day 59/60 of annual refund grace period. Over a 20 minute call I was offered 4 options other than canceling, which surprised me:
1. Bonus 500 AA miles, no AF refund
2. Downgrade to no-AF AA card
3. PC to rewards MC, 10000 point bonus after spending $1000
4. PC to no-AF arrival, 5000 point bonus after spending $500

I took 3 since it's an easy $100 and keeps my AAoA and doesn't prevent me from getting the card (and the Arrival+ w/bonus) again in the future.
