Amex sends me notifications on all charges for things not swiped or bought with the chip. I got a notification today of a $198 charge for Aruba Renaissance. That's a hotel we go to as much as we can.

Most recently, two stays earlier this month before and after our timeshare week. I also made two reservations for December.
This charge comes three weeks after our stay-does not match any folio or room charge. The two reservations made within the last 10 days do not require a deposit. Normally, I'd just call them. After dialing the Plat (hahaha) line for the first time in a month, I gave up holding after 45 mins.
What would you do to figure this out? Email to cust service? People have said that's non-responsive now. I can call the property, but it's international. Just irritates me that they are so hard to contact. ARGH
