That's consistent with my experience a year ago - there was a long (at least 45 minute) wait in the general line, and they were stationary on that line picking their victims when they passed them in the line.

The title of this thread is "Any Way of Avoiding the Hand Baggage Weight Check at CDG?" So it seems that the answer might be "you can avoid the weight check if you use PARAFE or Sky Priority."

So, is that the answer? Has anyone ever had their bag selected for weighing in the PARAFE or Sky Priority lines, or seen them checking bags for weight in the PARAFE or Sky Priority lines?

1) They tended to swoop when someone joined the queue, rather than dig someone out who had already queued up for a while
2) It was only larger bags with wheels that they seemed to be targeting - anyone carrying a bag off the floor or over their shoulder wasn't pinged even though some were quite large
3) They were only on the main, non PARAFE (no queue), non SkyPriority area. The SkyPriority area is on the right side down a short corridor and that only had a short queue.
4) When the queue suddenly got very big (the computers went down briefly) the agents started to get questions and push back from people anxious about their flights, at which point the baggage team scuttled off.
