I've never seen a phone that didn't get 4g on unicom, though I did find that Google Fi was pretty much useless here. Mobile has a slightly better reputation than unicom, but unicom is a little cheaper, and works fine in major cities. I believe that all newer unlocked iPhones work fine with mobile.
