Same as it has been always, your selected seat will stick if there is no aircraft swaps or significant schedule changes. If those occur, then you will lose the E+ seats. So a better chance (but not a certainty) with flights in the near future (with less likelihood o changes) and a poorer chance for flights further out ( a couple of months).
