We're flying AC 36 this morning in Business First and were denied entry to the Silver Kris Star Gold lounge in a rather condescending manner, despite both being Star Gold members .
After we accessed the very pleasant NZ lounge, I took the trouble to look up the Star Alliance access policy, taking it back to show the woman in the SQ Lounge.
She was much more polite this time, said she knew the policy, invited me twice to enter, and claimed AC requested them not to let in AC passengers, but to "contain them" in the NZ lounge.
I said, "Ah, they don't want to pay you," and she didn't disagree.
Mildly annoying, whoever is responsible, but it was of course at least nice to have the NZ lounge access.
