I did request to speak to a supervisor. That did no good. It wasn't a big deal for me...the jeweler's screwdrivers were given to me as a "gift" at a conference. I have several other sets at home. I told the TSA agents that they could keep the screwdriver set as a "souvenir."
After walking down the concourse a few steps, I had second thoughts so turned around and asked for a complaint form. The TSA agents were polite, but apparently uninformed as I found out later when I looked at the forbidden/allowed list on the TSA Web site. At least they didn't make me take my sneakers off like DEN and MCI does.
