After landing at LGW, we will need to go through UK immigration, collect our luggage, clear UK customs, walk to National Express station, then to Heathrow, then recheck our luggage at T3, re-do security, and then BA271 etc.
Considering that we will travel by car for 1.5 hrs to get to Mauritius airport from our house and do security in Mauritius, then take BA2062 to Gatwick, by the time we reach Heathrow, we would have spent nearly 24 hrs.
So whether it is 2 hrs or 1. 45 hrs to Heathrow T3, on National Express it does not make much difference. Remember, it is T3 and not T5. So it will be closer to 2 hrs than 1 hr.
But my question remains the consistent lateness of BA271. The word consistent is where I am looking for a bit of help to comprehend. OK, the flight can be delayed one or two times a month, but almost every flight? This is bad management by someone.
