Got a “snack” instead of dinner? This was a 1266 mile flight, scheduled to depart 7:51 pm, and Delta’s app said dinner. We were delayed about an hour but that shouldn’t matter, right? While waiting to leave the gate, someone from the ground crew told th FA we were getting something that “wasn’t even on the menu”. I think the other option, Asian chicken salad with noodles is standard (pretty sure I’ve eaten it before), so the non-standard option would be a roast beef sandwich with cookie. Accompanied by nothing unless you count the mayo and mustard packets. Guess they were out of the cute Alessi shakers as well: when you unwrapped the napkin, single serve packets of salt and pepper fell out. My sandwich tasted alright, I was just expecting more.
