Not sure how true this info is since I’ve never flown EK to Toronto, but I’ve heard that loads in F and J are usually quite full on most flights Bc the route runs only 3x a week. So I wouldn’t wait til the airport to try and upgrade, if you want to be in F, pay the fare difference ASAP so you’re confirmed in the cabin you want.
