Did you do this change online over the phone? If over the phone sometimes the ticket needs to be reissued manually. The agent you talk to would add the new flight and store card details and send the booking to ticketing. Once payment is taken and the ticket reissued you would get an email but this can take several days.

Yes I did it over the phone last Tuesday, it just seemed like a long time
