All my cards are ANZ and they used to work fine with Lifemiles. A few years ago I still had German cards as well but don't have them anymore.
Not a lot you can do. My frined was in that situation - card failed on line. Called and the card also failed there. After three attempts the card was blocked completely. They had to get a friend in New York to go into the NY city office to pay for the ticket
Hopefully calling the bank in advance should help with the issue!
