I'm currently a Starwood Gold due to having the SPG AmEx, and have lounge access due to having the SPG AmEx business card. However, my understanding is both benefits are going away in August of this year. I have a reservation at the Le Méridien Cairo Airport for early next year. Is it likely that the hotel would still honor my then-expired status and upgrade me to a club room with club access?
