Both hotels are a 5 min walk from each other.
I really don't like the obnoxious American design of the RC paired with the usual RC irks and wouldn't even think about staying at the RC again; although my corp rate is cheaper than the HIX across the street.

If you want to splurge in Chengdu, stay at the Swire managed hotel, called temple or so, or the IC century city.
