I guess you didn't see the fact that they are building an additional structure with 1,500+ spaces (mentioned a few posts above, as well as on the ParkSFO website).
I wonder if they made that decision before the impact of Uber/Lyft kicked in. That's converted a lot of parkers into passengers. Given the fixed-cost nature of a parking business, almost all of that lost revenue is lost profit.
