Agree wholeheartedly with this option! Even though we live close by, my wife and I always stay here one weekend night over the Christmas holidays. It is within walking distance of everything; Rock Center, Fifth Avenue stores, Macy's Bryant Park, NY Public Library, the theater district, and numerous restaurants off the tourist path on the West Side and East Side. The free breakfast is pretty comprehensive with an assortment of hot and cold. My only issue is that the breakfast area can get absolutely packed on the weekends. But not enough of an issue to stay elsewhere.
