Aircraft repairs and maintenance take time. You can fault the airline for not keeping enough spare aircraft if you want.
I can't speak for the OP, but I would prefer that DL structure their regular maintenance program to fix things like this, or maybe they need to spring for better quality parts in the first place.

Is your point that no one should ever be annoyed at a non-flight-critical maintenance problem? Because I can't think what else it could possibly be.
