Ah, sounds like Resolute (YRB). If so, the airlines would have been Nordair (ND) with a B737-200, Pacific Western (PW) with a B727-100 (probably a combi) and Transair (TZ) with a B737-200.

Well, I believe both Northern Consolidated (NCA) and Wien Air Alaska operated the F-27B combi in Alaska. Both airlines merged, of course, with Wien being the surviving air carrier so I'll guess that Northern Consolidated was the first to operate the F-27B.

I think TWA operated MD-80 service to Steamboat Springs via the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (HDN) located west of Steamboat Springs near Hayden, CO.
Correct on all counts! Here's TWA's schedule between St. Louis and Steamboat Springs:
TW 337 STL-HDN 1155a-145p MD80 Lunch Daily
TW 316 HDN-STL 240p–604p MD80 Snack Daily
