I have booked for 2 nights @ the London Hilton at Park Lane using my Hilton points (80000 per night). I chose for 2 adults when I booked the room, which is a King guest room. My wife, I, and our 3 year old daughter will be staying there. Our daughter always sleeps with us in our bed. Hilton website says that the max occupancy of this room is 3 as you can see in the link below:

In this trip to Europe, we are also staying at the IC Le Grande and Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome in Paris. Since these two hotels in Paris only allowed for a max occupancy of 2 for the room that I have booked, I have contacted the hotel already. They were fine with it as long as we paid some additional fee for an upgrade. I am an IHG platinum elite, but they were unable to guarantee an upgrade.
Do you think having booked for 2 adults @ the Hilton at Park Lane is okay? Or should I tell the hotel before we get there that we will be checking in for 2 adults and 1 child? I am a HH Diamond member. I am afraid that the hotel would ask me to pay an additional fee while we might be able to just check in (since the max occupancy is 3) or maybe even get an upgrade.
Just pick 2 adults during booking. I have yet to see a hotel that cares about young kids along for the trip. I do this in the US, as well as Europe and Australia.
