Yes, because as you approach Wetherspoons you will see TV screens giving the current wait time for security, anything up to 5 minutes isn't worth worrying about. But there is an agent at the booth on the left hand side who call sell you FT if necessary.
good to know what I read online (not reliable source!) must have been old said something about 24hour in advance. Working in Glasgow until lunchtime and flight is at 15.40 so don’t have huge amounts of time so good to have the option if it is for whatever reason busy but as you say it is most likely going to be fine.
