The rain was quite a damper! We made the mistake of not going to the Mall (wet grass and all) and watched the fireworks from the roofdeck of a 10-storey condo in Dupont Circle instead. Not even close to getting the same effect as being on the Mall. But being able to drink champagne as the fireworks exploded was a nice plus
